Commissioning A Sculpture

If you would like a sculpture made to your specific requirements then please have a think and decide exactly what you want.

Commissioning a handmade sculpture is a very unique experience. Engaging in each aspect of your sculpture’s journey - from opening discussions to receipt of the finished piece – will help make the sculpture personal to you or to the special person who receives it as a gift.

Your first step is to contact me via email using spiralcw [!at] gmail [dot] com. Then we can start the conversation about your commission and follow the steps outlined below.

We’ll agree the brief for the piece, which I’ll use to make the sculpture.

We’ll open the discussion about what you want. We can either meet somewhere mutually convenient (if possible), or use Zoom, or use photos, videos and measurements etc to go through the requirements of your sculpture.

Small and medium sized projects are possible, although I’m not currently doing larger projects.

These discussions are a key part of the process and should be completed in detail to ensure clarity for the rest of the steps.

Once we've developed the design and agreed the time scale, I'll give you a final quote.  A deposit may be required at this point, depending on the characteristics of the commission. All this information will be documented in a short commission contract.

When the sculpture is completed, I’ll forward photos to you and ensure that you are happy.  We’ll then make arrangements for you to be united with your sculpture and for any outstanding balance to be paid.

Please feel free to contact me. I’m always happy to have a no-obligations chat – especially about the artistic possibilities of wire sculpture, and how it can enhance your home and wellbeing.

I look forward to talking to you,

Sandy@Spiral
